Liz Quan’s Altocumulus installation evokes the ever-shifting movement of cloud formations, capturing a sense of calm, fluidity, and softness. The fiber-lined edges accentuate the curves and organic silhouettes of each form, inviting viewers to engage both visually and tactilely. Adaptable to a wide range of environments, her pieces introduce a serene, sculptural presence that transforms space through shape, movement, and quiet elegance.
Originally an Art Director in New York, Liz returned to working with her hands through ceramics, beginning post-baccalaureate study at the University of Colorado in 2005. Since then, she has exhibited at Walker Fine Art, the Arvada Center, McNichols Civic Center Building, and numerous other institutions. Her practice centers on porcelain—chosen for its purity, fragility, and expressive potential. Embracing the medium’s inherent boundaries, Liz explores form, texture, and rhythm with a sense of curiosity and play that defines her artistic voice.

She describes porcelain as a material that is both impressionable and boundless, allowing intuition to surface as she discovers new lines, textures, and forms. Whitman Lindstrom is a fine artist whose work merges contemporary cultural influences with classical traditions, creating landscapes and figurative pieces that are vibrant and timeless. Originally from Southern California and now based in Colorado, he draws inspiration from nature, travel, and the environments he immerses himself in. His landscapes radiate energy, shaped by a bold palette and a process rooted in observation and connection to place.
A self-taught artist with over a decade of professional practice, Whitman has explored various disciplines, ultimately gravitating toward plein air and contemporary landscape painting. His creative voice blends close observation of his surroundings with the post-impressionists’ expressive use of color and form. His studio is constantly active with commissions and gallery work, fueling his creativity.
One of Whitman’s most meaningful achievements is founding Make Art for a Change, a nonprofit he launched in 2018 to combine art, sustainability, and community engagement. What began as a small environmental initiative has grown into a 501(c)(3) organization that reimagines environmental education through hands-on experiences. For Whitman, this work is as central to his legacy as his paintings—an extension of his belief that art can inspire connection, stewardship, and positive change.
