The SOLD OUT Design After Dark event this year was held on Friday, Feb 6th, in the heart of the RiNo Art District at The Bindery on Blake, a renovated industrial building. “Design After Dark” is an event that brings Denver’s design community together by showcasing leading designers, emerging architects and artists, and benefits the DAM’s Department of Architecture, Design & Graphics. In its eleventh installment and hosted by the Design Council of the Denver Art Museum, “Design After Dark” gives creative individuals and teams a platform to construct innovative one-of-a-kind objects.

This year, participants were tasked to create 3D objects to reflect the theme, CUT. The talented designers showcased their work using mixed media such as cardboard, laser-cut resin, carpet tiles and LED lights. Attendees were able to mingle with the participating designers and bid on all the artwork in the silent auction at the end of the night. The room was full of engaged people, design chatter, excellent appetizers and lively music. A fun event!

Design After Dark continues to be a well-known fundraiser and best-dressed celebration among the design arts community.
