HMH believes that all people deserve good design. That is why our business sets aside resources in order to work on pro-bono and non-profit projects each year. These projects are not only fun, but it’s always satisfying to put our skills to use for a good cause.
We just wrapped up a pro-bono design package for a favorite non-profit organization in town and since they just had their official ribbon-cutting, it seems like a good time to share!
Community Cycles is a non-profit organization of bicyclists and supporters of bicycle transportation in Boulder. Sue Prant, Executive Director of Community Cycles reached out to HMH after they were able to purchase their new building at 26th and Spruce in the heart of Boulder. Over the past 6 months our staff has been providing design direction on how to build out the space, which includes a workshop (8 public stands inside, with the opportunity to add at least 4 more outside), a meeting room/classroom, a kitchen, a “back mechanics” area for staff mechanic production of used bikes for sale, and a retail area for sales of bikes and parts.
If you want to learn more about how you can contribute to Community Cycles, or if you have a project that may be perfect for our team, please contact us at info@hmh.com.
