A Home Designed Around Creativity
Back in 2009, Harvey designed a mixed-use building and now shares a two-bedroom condo with his wife, Gail Ramsberger. Though modest in size, the home is highly functional and thoughtfully adapted for creative pursuits. It includes a full-scale jewelry workshop in the primary closet, a painting studio in the guest suite, and a 60-foot art gallery in the entryway that showcases pieces by family and friends.
“Art is very important for us,” Harvey says. “When people visit, they ask about the paintings and furnishings; there’s a story about everything. It’s a conglomeration of our life.”
Hosting, Learning, and Connecting
Inspired by his experiences in Austria, Harvey and Gail host modern salons at home—gatherings centered on conversation, ideas, and creative exchange rather than food alone. These events embody their philosophy: a home is not just a place to live, but a space for connection, inspiration, and curiosity.
Creativity Across Scale
Harvey applies the same mindset to all design projects, large or small. From restoring a 1969 Jaguar XKE to jewelry making and architectural design, he sees each process as interconnected. “It is all a creative process,” he explains, demonstrating how personal interests and professional expertise can inform one another.
