Alex’s role at HMH straddles the line between Architecture and Interior Design. Formally trained as an Architect and with an intuition for Interior Design, Alex is most intrigued by the client experience and their relationship to materiality and place. His passion for mountain modern design is a product of a clean + contemporary aesthetic in collaboration with a strong appreciation for the great outdoors. One day he hopes to call himself HMH’s first ever Interior Architect.
Alex joined the team in 2020 after spending five years designing high-end residential and on-mountain commercial projects in Aspen, Telluride, and Jackson Hole. Prior to that, he spent six years studying in Boston and France, immersed in their built environments. When he is not testing material relationships or working through an interior/exterior connection detail, he can be found backpacking with friends or tracking down powder in off-trail glades.
