Modern Mountain Cabin
Situated in a grove of Aspen trees, this cabin is proof that a modern vocabulary works very well in a mountain setting.
The 1,800 square foot structure takes full advantage of its incredible site. On the main upper level extensive glass walls and a large exterior deck connect living to the outdoors. The metal exterior walls, roof, windows and doors were used for fire resistance but also act as a bridge between past and present. While metal is a popular modern material, it is also a historic, vernacular material used in mountain construction though out Colorado.
